History
The Delta Sigma Theta Sorority Inc.Phoenix Metropolitan Alumnae Chapter Scholarship Program was intially named in honor of Soror Cleo A. Moorehead, a very active soror in both Delta and the Community.
Soror Moorehead bequeathed funds for the specific purpose of awarding a deserving student a scholarship in her name.
In honor of Soror Moorehead, and other sorors in this chapter that have done the same, the Scholarship Fund has grown, and the committee is in the process of creating additional Scholarships for the 2008-2009 academic year. These scholarships will recognize students for the accomplishments in Math, Science and other disciplines.
