Physical and Mental Health
As an organization of predominantly African American women, Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc. is uniquely positioned to impact not only the well-being of its membership, but also the families and communities we serve. Journey to Wellness: Committing our Bodies to Physical and Mental Health is now the signature Physical and Mental Health call to action. The initiative addresses the challenges of living holistic and healthy lives. The three-pronged approach to Journey to Wellness includes: signature programs, Catching, coping, Conquering; My Cry in the Dark; and Healthy Lifestyles. Members have actively engaged in physical fitness and are taking an active interest in the welfare of their health.
The Physical and Mental Health Program promotes wellness and prevention strategies while educating the community on health concerns confronting the communities. The Physical and Mental Health Committee serves through workshops and other activities. The committee helps to focus on achieving the goals of national programs. They also organizes health promotion activities within the community that emphasize awareness of diseases that impact residents of the community.

St. Jude Walk
to End Childhood Cancer
PMAC participates in the St. Jude Walk/Run to End Childhood Cancer, a 5K walk to raise money for the children of St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.
Bill Holt Pediatric HIV Clinic
The Bill Holt Pediatric HIV Clinic is the only one of its kind in the state of Arizona, providing unparalleled care and expertise for children and adolescents exposed to or infected with HIV. We understand the importance of caring for the entire patient and their family; focusing not only on the medical needs, but psychosocial needs as well.
American Cancer Society Arizona
PMAC supports the American Cancer Society through supporting local programs, services, and community events sponsored by the organization..
