Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc. is a public service sorority which was founded in 1913 by 22 students at Howard University, in Washington, DC. Our founders envisioned an organization committed to serious endeavor and community service. Phoenix Metropolitan Alumnae Chapter awards scholarships to student applicants entering college or continuing their academic programs. Students must meet both academic and community service requirements.

2019 Scholarship Program

The Delta Research and Educational Foundation (DREF) provides some of the funding for Delta Sigma Theta Scholarship programs. It is a charity founded by the sorority to encourage educational development and research initiatives.
2020 Scholarship Requirements & scholarship Application
Please complete the scholarship application, obtain the required information notated in the scholarship requirements document and submit all the required documents by the February 28, 2020 deadline. The High School Guidance Counselors document contains the assigned guidance counselors that are able to support students in completing their scholarship applications.
